Vision

The Vicky and Joseph Safra Institute for Banking and Financial Intermediation was established at Tel Aviv University’s Coller School of Management at the end of 2022 in recognition of the importance of the banking system and its essential role in developing the economy and society – both in Israel and worldwide.

The Institute's vision is to advance the banking and financial intermediation system and help it realize its mission: enhancing competition among the various players,  while promoting the quality of services and products, reducing their cost, and making them accessible to all sectors, including disadvantaged populations who currently do not enjoy equal opportunities.

The Institute will advance groundbreaking research, to enrich up-to-the-minute knowledge that supports its vision. It will cooperate closely with the banking system and other entities in the Israeli and global financial industries, to enable students and researchers working at the Institute to spearhead financial activity and research.
